Thien H. Tran was born and raised in Hochiminh City, the biggest city in southern Vietnam. He obtained his BS in 2019 at University of Science – Hochiminh City. During his undergraduate career, he focused on organic synthesis, especially photocatalytically-assisted synthesis. He received admission from Tulane University in Fall 2019 and joined the Gibb group in September of the same year.
He is currently working on elucidating how specific and non-specific anion effects play a significant role in the supramolecular world: cavitands, polypeptides, and proteins.
