André was born in Lafayette, LA and moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University where he graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry in 2020. He enrolled at Tulane University in the Fall of the same year to pursue his PhD degree. He joined the Gibb group in February of 2021 and is currently focused on the synthesis and characterization of water-soluble deep cavity cavitands.
